Inuksuk

ruesherbrooke2The inukshuk (the Inuit means “no substitute“) is erected here and there in the northern landscape. This rocky and benevolent ghost reassures me wherever I see it. Even in the urban jungle of Sherbrooke Street, he extends his arms to protect me from  real or imagined demons (in Montreal).

  1. It makes me think in our apachetas… stacked rocks, but not against demons (they don’t exist in our beliefs) to guide the walkers in the roads in the mountains, every traveler put one rock more as a way of say thanks.
