Winter (1) Mornings

moment6

Falling out of bed or not

That is the question

A coffee to wake up and warm up

Wonder why it is so dark and so cold

Forget the answer and the question

and put on one’s  overcoat

off to work

  1. 🙂 Nice one. The past tense sounds good too. I am not a poet and don’t pretend to be one, but it sounded good in the past tense too, I thought 🙂 Excuse me, though. Like I said, don’t know much about it.

    1. The past tense would have been good too. Because I translate from the French side of the blog, I try to be as faithful to the original as possible. The French poem was in the infintive form. It suits French and myself. But the past tense would have sounded good too. Thank you for visiting 🙂

      1. 🙂 thanks for not chewing me apart for my unsolicited nonsense.
Yes, I understand.. I suspect it would have been similar if it had been translated from Hindi or Urdu as well (Indian languages, mostly, not just these two).
